Customer-Focused

As someone who has built a business before, I understand the importance of reputation. It truly pains me to leave a negative review, but my experience with Fix N Rev was so poor, I feel obliged to warn others to prevent further disappointment and potential damage to this business’s future.

I initially chose Fix N Rev because of the glowing reviews and the professional, pleasant first interactions—especially with Winnie, who reassured me my car would be in good hands. On April 3rd, I delivered the car for five issues: front bumper paintwork, tightening a new radio, sealing a cracked water reserve tank, fitting new seat covers, and addressing battery issues. These were clearly communicated and seemingly noted.

After walking through a checklist (which I appreciated), I was told the work would be completed by Monday. However, the first red flag came when I didn’t receive a quotation the same day as promised. It only came in on Friday and included just three of the five items. One (seat covers) was promised as a bonus, leaving two unacknowledged despite follow-ups.

I paid the deposit hoping everything would be handled professionally. Monday came with no update—I called and spoke to Florence, who assured me everything was done and the car was being washed. I was relieved and went to collect the car at 5 PM. On arrival, I noticed several issues:

Car had to be jump-started despite the battery being one of the issues to fix.

Radio was still loose and shaky.

Seat covers weren’t fitted.

Seats and car interior were dirty.

Exterior hadn’t been properly washed.

Paint droplets on the bonnet suggested carelessness, yet I was accused of lying when I pointed it out.

Florence, to her credit, asked for more time and I agreed to extend to Thursday. On Thursday, Winnie said they “think” there was a blown connection causing the battery issue and requested UGX 300K and the rest of the day. I declined, asked them to close everything up, and said I’d collect the car after work.

When I returned, things had gotten worse: battery was missing, door panel was hanging, seat covers still not fitted, the radio still loose, car still dirty, and indicator not working. I had to wait further for a mechanic to fix that too.

At this point, I was completely drained. I had given this garage a week and a half, yet left feeling betrayed and completely disillusioned. They look professional on the outside, but my experience was of wasted time, poor service, and shattered trust.

I hold everyone responsible—Winnie, Florence, Muniru (if I got the name right), and any team member assigned to work on my car. I demand a full refund. I don’t care what work they claim to have done—they don’t deserve even a shilling of it.

What hurt the most was their lack of attention even when I was right there raising concerns. The team was visibly more interested in another car. No one took real responsibility. People would appear briefly and slip away. I questioned if they were trained mechanics or just random hires from a car wash. There was no sense of professionalism or ownership—only distraction, negligence, and apathy.

If I had the authority, I would fire the entire team—they will be the downfall of this business. Unless someone reaches out and makes this right, I will continue to share my experience on every platform available to me. No one should ever go through what I did.

Unforgivable.

Took my X5 to get fixed and I was impressed by the level of customer service and most importantly the equipment used to both check and repair my car. The team carry themselves professionally and were honest about the works. Highly recommended. Keep it up Fixnrev!!

This is a professional  set up. They respond to inquiries, deliver and follow up. Thank you folks for setting the  service standards that are non existent in uganda . Wow, A fresh start away from the idiotic crooks that manage the motor service industry. Highly recommended..five star.service.

Just went to meet up with someone fixing a car(pun intended) at fix n rev, as a detached observer, I was pleasantly surprised I could do my work in the waiting area thanks to the free WiFi, good coffee, they also have soft drinks and chilled pints if that's your thing.. overall I recommend, the customer service is first class, the proprietors and staff are always available to ensure customer comfort, the person I was meeting expressed complete satisfaction with the quality of work, pricing and delivery, would give 6 stars but the option doesn't exist
