The Lawns Restaurant

@the_lawns_restaurant is a charming eatery in Kampala with lush gardens, diverse cuisine, and serene vibes.

The ambience was great, it would make a great place to host functions. The service was great, the waiter Ernest took his time to politely explain to us what was on the menu and his recommendations. The game meat was good, of all I would recommend Sitatunga (it was tasty, familiar taste to me), the vegetables and wedges were done well. The spices were on point. Just add some light music to make the place a bit lively

I Love places that keep changing and evolving for the better. I like that everytime I visit the Lawns they have some new architectural finishings or changes in setup ☺️☺️ Maybe it's because I take a while without visiting.nnAnyway Lawns remains consistent on its flavourful meals, we were there for a birthday dinner and no one complained about their food taste, even if the food coming to the table took a bit of sometime. Amazing ambience, great fine dinning experience,  great location. I definetly recommend for any group dinners.

We went for a family lunch. The restaurant is very well decorated. The setting is lovely with great view of the golf course. The quality of the food, and service, are consistently very good. Highly recommended.

Food and atmosphere is very good. However, I was disappointed with the service as our waitress lacked some customer service. Maybe I’ll come back and give this place another chance.

Overall 4.5/5 but can’t give half starsn-went there for dinner with a groups of 5, service was great,nI tried the Serengeti mix (various gamenMeats) and also the ribsnRibs flavour was 4/5 and was told that the ribs were cooked several hours but they were not tender so 3/5 overall would saynThe Serengeti mix was surprisingly all very tender and tasty, though portion size was on the small size (thin medallions about 2-3in in diameter ) 4/5nnService was excellent - very attentive, and it was nice to have towelettes

Mythos

Mythos in Kololo, Kampala: chic, upscale vibe with @mythos decor and diverse menu. Ideal for gatherings.

Nice aesthetics.. loved the art and how every place has a different design to it not the same style. Great for pictures especially at night.

Fancy Greek food? Mythos in Kampala is the answer. We are on a business trip and we did our research to spend our evening tasting delicacies around Kampala. This was recommended by a friend. The menu is fancy and amazing! Being a vegetarian I have limitation but they did do something for me. But my friends had a feast with their canine tooth. Recommend.

Kinda salty, expensive but sweet food. They supply bread as much as you want. Service is cool. With your frineds or kids, it's suitable reataurant.

It has a cozy ambience for evenings, music and amazing food. I had the meat  platter and it was amazing. I definitely recommend. They also have nice cocktails.

What was once one of the top restaurants in town has continued to suffer a steady decline. On our latest visit we played ping pong with our waiter as he reported our chosen dishes were unavailable.nnThe only thing worse was having a dish which clearly lacked its stated ingredients.  Mushrooms with feta and oregano without the feta and barely any mushrooms is just a baked tomato and onion sauce.nnThe waiters were more interested with watching the football at the bar leaving us unable to get a second drink despite wanting one.nnFor those who enjoy a cigarette or sisha with their meals this is definitely the place to go as both outlawed activities are permissible here.nnOne can only hope that after the pandemic the regular chef will return to restore standards to what they once were.

I came to this place when I was hurting suffering a severe injury in the gym. I was actually scrolling through Instagram and I saw this new place; am Ugandan God knows how we fancy new places so I called the contact I found on and I spoke to the manager she was so kind on phone it pushed me to come and tryy luck I got here through google maps help and still there til when my sessions are done. But I've got to say am improving by the day thanks everyone I will surely recommend it to anyone. Service is beyond self

At Active Body Therapy, they approach their therapeutic massage sessions by analyzing the cause of reported problems. They then target muscles and soft tissues that may be injured or affected. They also believe that educating you on the pain you’re suffering and what may be causing it is extremely important. Their  goal is to foster recovery so you experience lasting results. Sessions at Active Body Therapy are worth every penny...

I loved my nails and service. They take time to understand what you want. The hot stone foot massage was a plus.

I was worked on by Henry. The service from him was very good, he was gentle and pays attention to the small details and was very much professional. Overall the service was a 10/10 and the nails look super cute.

My friends and I decided to try out a local Thai restaurant for lunch, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. The food was flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying.nnWhat made the experience even more special was the personal touch from the chef. After our meal, the Thai chef came out to greet us and ask how we enjoyed the food. He introduced himself and shared a bit about his background, including his impressive 8-year stint working in Dubai before moving to Uganda. His humility and friendliness made a lasting impression on us. It's not every day that you meet a chef who not only prepares your meal but also takes the time to ensure you enjoyed it.nnOverall, the combination of authentic Thai flavors and the warm, personal service made our lunch a memorable one.

A very different place. They have good authentic Thai food. The ambience was ok  and the service was good. It's a bit pricey considering the upscale location.

Tried the chicken pad Thai and chicken drunken noodle, definitely preferred the latter. It was delicious.  👍️Although it was raining lightly, we were welcomed with warm towels and had a delicious lunch.  Two months ago I missed eating, but today I felt good and had a great time.

Whether you're here for a short stay or a long adventure, Explorers Hub is the perfect place to relax and plan your next journey.

Nice hotel. Booked my stay through the Booking.com platform. I was overall well received & felt safe throughout my stay. The breakfast: top notch, with a lot of choices. The hotel is not really for the budget travellers as the prices at the restaurant and the attached convenience store are more on the expensive side. It is well located, on the tarmac road.

We enjoyed our stay at the Explorers Hub Hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and airconditioning is provided.
Early check-in and late checkout where not an issue when we visited. The area is very safe and quiet. There is nice greenery in the garden. We can definitely recommend staying here.

This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a high-quality, budget hotel with clean private rooms, a central/good location, and good nutritious food. It’s a little more expensive than a hostel private room, but the attached restaurant REVIVE is such a good selling point.

All staff were super friendly and chill for my stay. No drama - Frank was especially super nice and was very flexible with my booking!

Highly recommend if you are not wanting to splurge too much, but still want comfort and privacy.

This time around you are not focusing on some important issues though you take them as simple ones e. g the customer has to look for tissues from other tables around the restaurant, some times the tables were not wiped, the buffet serving spoons were not changed, some times the cutleries are not on buffet station  You have to first call them though it's not busy, Lastly it's like waiters and waitresses don't love what they are doing  expecially the morning supervisor (Lady) she was ever  Un welcoming from day 1 since I saw her until I left (kindly work on that)

All in all Thanks to the the Team at large and keep on going and you  can do it better 💪💪💪

A great spot in Kampala, unexpected!nnBoth the sushi and the cooked food is good. We enjoyed a variety of rolls, my favorite was the avocado salmon.  The tempura was tasty too!nnThe atmosphere and service is nice. If you make a reservation, while the place is very open for lunch, you can sit in the nice cozy chairs up front.

Food is great!! But service is really poor. We sat for over 20mins without service and had to look for a waiter around the restaurant then waiting almost an hour for the food. Don’t know if we came at the wrong but it was really stressful

It’s kind of difficult to find/get to, but the place was nicely decorated and there’s lots of places to sit. The actual sushi wasn’t so good, but I liked the miso and edamame!

I will definitely visit this place again.
