Experience Kampala's culinary delight at @the_hickory. #TheHickoryDining

Food was overly priced. And not seasoned at all. We had flies roaming our table and the waiters didn’t even do anything about it. They served us a wrong order and refused to return it. Our overall experience was so bad and no one even cared . Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone visiting Kampala

What a place, total silent and relaxing place!
Food is amazing, service great, I will come back in the evening, to check out the lounge area at same place.

Lovely place, great atmosphere, tasty food

I recently dined at the hickory restaurant that truly impressed me with its exceptional ambiance, cleanliness, and spacious layout. The environment was incredibly inviting and well-maintained, providing a sense of comfort and relaxation. Unlike many congested dining establishments in Kololo, the hickory restaurant had ample space between tables, allowing for a comfortable and private dining experience. The attention to cleanliness was evident, with spotless tables, polished silverware, and immaculate floors. Overall, I was thoroughly pleased with the restaurant’s commitment to providing a pleasant and hygienic dining environment. With Small but secure parking space, street parking is also allowed and secure.

It’s still a surprise that I had never been to The Hickory until this weekend and guess what, my expectations were truly surpassed! The food was AMAZING 100/100, the service was exceptional! The music was just right and the atmosphere was superb.

I’m definitely returning here to enjoy the other food options.

@izumi_restaurant_lounge in Kampala offers upscale dining, stylish decor, and a vibrant lounge atmosphere.

A great spot in Kampala, unexpected!nnBoth the sushi and the cooked food is good. We enjoyed a variety of rolls, my favorite was the avocado salmon.  The tempura was tasty too!nnThe atmosphere and service is nice. If you make a reservation, while the place is very open for lunch, you can sit in the nice cozy chairs up front.

Izumi Restaurant & Lounge on Upper Kololo Terrace is a gem in Kampala’s dining scene. The ambiance is a perfect blend of modern chic and traditional charm, creating a cozy yet stylish setting. The menu offers a wide range of Pan-Asian dishes, from fresh sushi to flavorful Thai cuisine, ensuring there’s something for everyone.nnThe food is exceptional, with each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The cocktails are equally impressive, crafted with precision and creativity. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home.nnWhether you’re looking for a place to enjoy a meal with friends, celebrate a special occasion, or simply unwind with a drink, Izumi is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Food is great!! But service is really poor. We sat for over 20mins without service and had to look for a waiter around the restaurant then waiting almost an hour for the food. Don’t know if we came at the wrong but it was really stressful

It’s kind of difficult to find/get to, but the place was nicely decorated and there’s lots of places to sit. The actual sushi wasn’t so good, but I liked the miso and edamame!

I will definitely visit this place again.
